After being hit by a car, Lizzie the koala was rushed to Australia Zoo’s wildlife hospital. Right by her side was her very special – very adorable 6-month-old joey, Phantom. Fortunately Phantom was virtually unharmed during the accident.

Lizzie did have to undergo surgery to treat her collapsed lung. Sweet Phantom cuddled up next to his mother throughout the operation because that’s what family is about.
